It started with a phone chat with the recruiter. They asked why I was interested and what my expectations were, you know, the usual. Then, I had an on-site interview with the hiring manager. It was pretty chill. They asked basic questions about my resume and how I'd handle client/lead scenarios. The manager was upfront about the downsides, saying 'we are basically glorified filters for the salesmen' and checked if I was cool with that. When I asked about the culture, they said it's like an 'entitled punk teenager.' After about 30-45 mins, the rest of the team joined in and asked some random questions to get a feel for my personality and how I work.

It starts with a quick 15-minute chat with the recruiter. If they're impressed, you'll then meet with both the department manager and the director. They'll ask you some really basic questions, pretty easy and laid-back. After those interviews, they bring the team in to meet you. They'll ask more general questions, like why you applied for this role or even something fun like 'what's your spirit animal?'. The main goal here is just to see if you'd be a good fit with the team dynamic.

I applied online and Instructure responded a few weeks later requesting a phone interview. I sent my availability but didn't hear back for days, so I followed up via email. An HR person responded the same day and I had a phone interview that day, followed by an in-person interview the next day. The in-person interview was going okay until I met with a marketing manager who was arrogant and talked down to me. He seemed more interested in bragging about his Adobe connections than discussing the job. This experience with him and HR left a bad impression.
