& Process

It was a simple and quick interview process. First, I had one call with HR, who was friendly and made me feel comfortable. Then, I had two calls with the hiring manager, who seemed knowledgeable. I noticed they seemed a bit desperate, and the business appears to be trending downwards, which led me to pursue other opportunities.

The interview process at Integrative Nutrition usually involves group interviews. In my case, there were 4 or 5 other women in the group, but only one other person was interviewing for the curriculum coordinator role. We each took turns answering questions about time management, organization, education, strengths and weaknesses, and personal interests. After the group session, some of us were told to leave, while others seemed to stay for more interviews with people from their potential department. I figured that meant I probably wasn't moving forward. The next day, I got a writing assignment from the education department, due the following day. I submitted it, and then they emailed me to schedule a trial day. During the trial day, I worked with Excel and created an educational handout, which I think went well. The day after that, HR sent me an offer, which I accepted.

Got the interview through a temp agency. When I got to the Manhattan Office I met several other candidates for the same position. The interview was held as a group with everyone saying their name and something about their prior sales/ telephone experience. It was followed up with the managers telling us a little something about the company and then opened the interview up to any questions. It was the quickest interview ever. In the end, they did not hire anybody and instead chose to go a different route.

Submitted my application and heard back several weeks later in Fall 2012 for a 1/2 hour interview with 2 HR reps. Was then asked to complete a skills assessment and answer extra questions to check problem-solving skills. Several weeks after that, I was called in for a second "exploratory" interview with someone who reports directly to the CEO. A few weeks later, I heard back about a 3rd interview scheduled right before the holidays, but then there was a hiring freeze and I haven't heard back since.
