Team Lead
The process was fast. The recruiter was super nice and professional. I met with four people and they were all great, it was a really good experience. The interviews were over the phone, then one-on-one, and then a group interview. Each step was a positive experience.
- Can you discuss your previous work experiences?
- What are some of your key accomplishments?
- What significant challenges have you faced and overcome?
Management Position
I had two phone calls that went pretty well, and then I went in for an in-person panel interview. Unfortunately, two interviewers didn't show up and one had to leave early. One person glared at me the whole time. The questions were okay, but the vibe wasn't super friendly. It was a bummer because the main hiring manager seemed great, but another decision-maker wasn't friendly and didn't seem interested, which felt like a waste of time. The biggest letdown was not getting any confirmation from the recruiter after sending a thank you note, and then hearing nothing at all. It's disappointing to be ghosted after investing time in an in-person interview. A quick follow-up would have made a big difference.
- Can you describe how you would manage a software development project, and what your initial steps would be?
Manager
The office was nice, and the dress code was more than casual. I got the impression of chaos, with people rushing around, including the receptionist. It seemed like there was some disconnect and discord among management.
- Given that your commute is about an hour, are you planning to relocate closer to Ashburn?
Director
Had phone interviews with HR and the department head. Then met with all the firm leadership. Got a great overview of how the firm works. They asked situation-based questions to see my leadership style and experience.
- How do you handle conflicts within your team?
