The interview was easy and they asked simple questions. They wanted to know my availability and any other activities I had going on. They also asked if I knew how to count and handle cash and if I could understand the goal board.

I applied online and got a call from the recruiter. Then I did a video interview and an assessment. After that, I had a face-to-face interview with the DM and GM, which went really well. They offered me the position at $12.02/hr, and I accepted. Once the background and credit checks were done, I started within a week. The recruiters were really nice. You can also apply by bringing a resume to any TMX finance affiliate.

Even though I never worked in finance before, I was told to start as a store manager with a lower salary so I could learn the business. I didn't really agree at first, but I'm glad I took the job now. It gave me the time and experience to work with many different people and learn various paths to success. Now, three years later, my store is one of the top-performing ones in the region.

So, after you apply, a recruiter will give you a call if they think you're a good fit. If that goes well, you'll do an online interview, kind of like Skype. If you pass that, you'll have an in-person interview with the district manager, and then another one with the general manager at the store. It's a pretty fast process overall.
