First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Installed Building Products.
Front Desk Receptionist
The interview was pretty straightforward and the interviewer was professional. They asked good questions about my background and abilities. They communicated well and I felt good talking about my qualifications.
- Can you tell me about your experience?
Accounts Receivable Clerk
I have to rate this experience as negative strictly due to the lack of communication I received throughout the process. I was called for an interview several weeks after applying, and the interview itself was more of a conversation. The people seemed very friendly, and told me that I would know within a week whether or not I got the position. Today, two months after my interview, I have finally received an email letting me know that I did not get the position. I want to make it clear that I am not rating the experience poorly due to not getting the position, as I know that I was not the most qualified person for the job. I am simply disappointed in the lack of communication that I received.
- What are your long-term career aspirations?
Accountant
After a recruiter set up this interview for me, I met with the immediate manager, the boss above her, and the HR person. They were all very kind and asked questions relevant to the job and also about me as a person. They were very fun to meet! I had just gotten my braces put on that morning and had a hard time speaking, but they were understanding and we laughed about how ridiculous I sounded.
- What do you enjoy doing in your free time outside of work?
Operations
The job description was brief and vague. They didn't give much detail about the compensation. I didn't get a clear picture of what the job expectations and responsibilities are. Also, there isn't enough office space for staff and not enough warehouse space for inventory. They didn't really tell me if I was a good fit.
- Can you tell me about your previous work experience?
