So the interview process involved a chat with the recruiter first, then I talked to the hiring manager. After that, there was a business case exercise and then a panel interview which had 4 separate interviews and a final presentation of the case to those 4 panelists.

The interviews themselves were actually pretty interesting. But the recruitment process? That was a whole other story, and not a good one. I had to chase my recruiter for updates at every step. There was barely any communication. The recruiter went on leave midway, which I get, but they told me no meetings the week of Thanksgiving. Then, after waiting until the Friday after, I was told they needed more time and to wait another week. On the day they promised an EOD response, I heard nothing and had to follow up *again*. Finally, the next day, I got a generic rejection email. After 2.5 months, I expected more than a template. It's not just about not getting the job, it's the poor communication and feeling disrespected. I actually finished a whole interview process at another company and got an offer in the time it took to hear back about the Superday here. This was the worst recruitment experience I've ever had, completely overshadowing the good parts like the casework and talking to the team. It makes me wonder about the company itself, and maybe I dodged a bullet. Definitely not worth the time.

Technical Case

A strategy manager reached out to me for an opening at this high-growth tech company. I spoke with the recruiting manager for a phone screen, then got a take-home assignment involving an Excel dataset and an SQL assignment. The recruiter mentioned having ADHD and suggested alternative contact methods. After submitting the take-home, I received no response via email, LinkedIn, or phone. A week later, I contacted the original manager, who said recruiting never received my assignment. Another week passed before I got a generic rejection email with no feedback. I've successfully completed similar assignments before, so I suspect the recruiter mishandled it or they'd already hired someone. It ended up being a significant time investment.
