Sales Account Manager
We had a few interview rounds. It kicked off with HR, then I spoke to the hiring manager, and finally, there was a panel chat with some of the folks I'd be working with across different teams. Everything was pretty quick, just 30 mins per chat. The questions weren't super hard, mainly focusing on how I'd handle certain situations.
- What's your strategy when a client wants to negotiate a lower percentage rate for a service?
Technical Account Manager
Overall, the interview experience was good until the last round. The first round was a video call with the team lead, who explained the role and requirements well and asked good questions. It was an enjoyable conversation. The second round was a two-hour online technical test that included programming questions, which was unexpected since the job description only mentioned SQL. I thought I would fail, especially since I ran out of time, but I passed. The final round was supposed to be a meet-and-greet with the team for a cultural fit assessment. However, it turned into another technical round where they presented random SQL problems and queries on screen, expecting instant solutions in front of them. These were specific scenarios that felt like you'd only know the answer to if it was part of your daily tasks. I wasn't prepared for that kind of on-the-spot pressure. I also felt it was not inclusive due to the non-diverse panel. I emailed recruiters to thank the team, but I was ghosted afterward, with no feedback on my fit for the role, which was disappointing given their earlier communication.
- Given random SQL scenarios related to application support, explain how you would handle them situationally, as you wouldn't know the answer off the top of your head unless it's relevant to the specific application you support.
Account Manager
The interview process was pretty easy, first I had an interview with the hiring manager, then I did an excel activity, and then one more interview after that. Everything happened in the same week, and they got back to me really fast with the decision. It was a good experience overall.
- Can you share details about your previous roles?
