First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Inspira Marketing.
Sales Representative
The interview had two parts, both over the phone or zoom. First up was a screening call to go over the job basics. Then, I had a zoom interview with two sales managers. That's when they told me the job wasn't at all what the description said it was. They asked a bunch of stuff outside my experience because the ad was so misleading.
- Given a tough economy and changing drinker preferences, what strategies would you use to increase malt beverage sales in convenience stores?
Activation Specialist
The whole interview thing took about a month. First I had a screening call with someone from Inspira, then maybe a week later I chatted with the field manager for my city over the phone, and then like a couple weeks after that I went in for an in person interview with three people. I felt like it went really well, and they all said it was nice meeting me and they'd be in touch. Then I got an automated rejection email about a week after the in person. It's whatever, but getting it on July 4th morning was a bummer. Those emails are automatic, so they can be scheduled. I'd suggest picking a different time than the morning of a holiday to send them, it really did make my day worse.
- What is your spirit animal?
Social Media Coordinator
The process was so long and they barely communicated. I'd go weeks without hearing and think I'd lost the opportunity. Before I knew it, I would get an email saying they'd like me to come in again for a follow-up. I interviewed with a total of four people. The first was a phone call mid-June. Next was an interview with two managers in mid-July. Next was an interview in Mid-August with one manager. Finally, I emailed at the end of September to make sure that I was still being considered for the position, as I had heard nothing, and was immediately emailed back saying I didn't get it. I couldn't believe that I could be strung along for over three months with so little communication, and then be told so suddenly that it was over.
- Can you give an example of a company whose mission you really like and explain why?
Talent Acquisition
The interview process was really great. The team was super organized, responsive, and flexible. My interview felt more like a conversation than anything else. The panel interviewers were nice and I felt comfortable being myself. Even when they asked specific questions, they were helpful and clarified what they were looking for. I didn't get an offer, but I was glad to connect with such a good group of people and would apply again in the future.
- Can you walk me through your process for recruiting for a specialized role?
