Behavioral Case Presentation

Inspira follows a standard 3-stage interview process: an initial screen, an interview with a senior director, and a final panel interview. The initial screen involves the recruiter explaining the company and the role, offering guidance to help candidates succeed by sharing who they'll meet and what the interviewers will focus on, encouraging a conversational approach. The Senior Director interview is a straightforward discussion focusing on the candidate's background and resume metrics, featuring challenging questions and good interaction. The final stage is a 3-person panel that includes a case study. While I expected a more traditional case study, this one was more flexible. The panel consisted of the hiring manager, design lead, and business transition manager. The case was a general one, and they were more interested in my thought process and how I navigated the development stages rather than a detailed case study. They allowed for fast-forwarding in the scenario once they had sufficient insight. The interview concluded with an opportunity for me to ask questions, and they provided excellent responses.

Behavioral

I had a screening call with a recruiter and was quickly set up to meet with the hiring manager. Our interview was cancelled and rescheduled for the morning of the next week (on Thanksgiving eve -- without asking about my availability, but okay). This morning I got a notice saying the new appointment had been cancelled. I emailed HR to figure out what was going on, only to get a form email about 20 minutes later saying the position had been filled. Crazy. I made time during a trip with my partner last week to do the screening interview, only to find out there was probably another candidate they were waiting to hear from about an offer they had already made. I'm also starting to think the reason this week's interview was cancelled (family emergency) was a lie. Job candidates really deserve better than this.

Behavioral Technical

The interview process started with a 30-minute recruiter call, followed by a 45-minute interview with the hiring manager. The third round was a 45-minute team interview with a peer hiring manager and an existing Product Manager. I felt the third interview went well, but after that, there was silence. I tried contacting the recruiter for an update on the next steps but received no response via email, call, or text. It seems I wasn't what they were looking for, and the lack of communication felt rude and inconsiderate.
