Behavioral Technical

The recruiter was the only person who was nice. She explained the process and what they were looking for. The actual interviewers were not like that, though. They had blank expressions and just read questions from a list, making it very robotic, like they hadn't done many interviews before. It seemed like they wanted to know what other companies in our field were doing, and they typed up everything I said. They got weird when I asked about the company culture or how this job fits into the team structure.

So after I sent in my application, it got reviewed and I got an email with a link to a video interview that I had about 2 days to finish. I could save my progress and come back to it using the same link. The video interview had 6 questions in total. The last 3 were about working rights in Australia, leave intentions in the first 6 months, and a small question about personal circumstances. The first 3 questions were: Q1: In 30 seconds, tell us what you do outside of work (video recording). Q2: In 1 minute, tell us what attracted you to this role (audio recording). Q3: In 2 minutes, tell us about a time you provided amazing customer service (audio recording). I submitted it on time and heard back about 4 hours after the deadline. They said they liked my video interview and wanted me to attend an online assessment centre on Microsoft Teams, using a computer. The assessment was supposed to be 1.5 hours and included a live one-on-one interview at the end. I had to reply with my address for the offer letter and pick a date/time out of 3 options. I also had to choose an office location if I lived in the most populous state, which I don't. I picked Wednesday 15th November 2.30pm–4.00pm as my first choice, but got allocated Wednesday 15th November 11am–12.30pm. They sent an email with the allocated slot and attached a three-page document. The document had contact details for two made-up customers and information on health and life insurance policies. It explained the role play: a hypothetical customer calls, and I need to confirm their identity (3-4 questions depending on the policy) before discussing their policy. I also had to listen carefully to their enquiries and not just read out information. It was good to have this document beforehand, but there were other timed activities during the assessment.

The first step is a screening interview, which is the initial direct interaction with candidates. Then, there are phone screen interviews. This is followed by the first in-person interview, and then a competency interview. Next, you'll have second and third interviews. After that, there's an invitation to a social gathering. Finally, there's a final interview.
