First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Insight PA Cyber Charter School.
Compliance Manager
It was a video interview, 6 questions total. You get 1 minute to prep and 3 minutes to respond. You can record your response twice, but after that, you're done, no more chances.
- Can you explain how your experience and background fit with this role?
Teacher
The first round was pretty standard for evaluating teaching and content. However, the second round was frustrating. If the team wasn't interested, administration would ghost you for months even after promising a response within a week. Even a reminder through their secretary didn't help. It's really not cool to say you'll respond and then not. If you're unsure, just say so. I even ran into a couple of current colleagues who weren't exactly welcoming. Left me with a really poor impression of how they treat staff, and I'm hoping to find a cyber school that actually values people, whether they hire them or not.
- Considering our diverse student body, how would you approach differentiating instruction to accommodate various cultures?
Guidance Counselor
The interview process was easy, comfortable, and appropriate. It was virtual, which made it comfortable. I was able to practice answering questions before submitting, which helped with my nerves. The second part was a video call online.
- Can you tell me about your experience working remotely?
- What specific skills or contributions can you offer in a virtual setting?
Coordinator
It was a good experience and the questions were typical interview questions.
- What is your motivation for applying to this role?
- Can you describe a past situation and how you responded to it?
