The interview process had excellent in-depth questions about my experience in different areas of software manipulation using scripts with various technologies like R, Diablo, and ASYM. These are great languages to take us to the next level. In the end, it's all about the instantiation of the stack to extract data-driven analytics for the substance abuse of work-life technical abilities.

The recruiter was really positive and spent over an hour talking with me about my background, what I've done, and what I'm looking for career-wise. They were responsive and set up a meeting with the hiring manager. I didn't feel the hiring manager was ready to ask questions fitting the role or my experience, though. The questions seemed too simple for someone with my background. The hiring manager seemed stuck on wanting to know the names of project managers from 10 years ago instead of assessing my skills. They also interrupted me a lot and seemed easily annoyed. What they said about the job also didn't quite match the posting. I thought that was it and decided to look elsewhere. Surprisingly, someone who reported to the hiring manager set up another interview. Again, the questions felt too basic for the job. This person was nicer and listened to my answers, at least. The recruiter had initially painted a picture of a company with big growth plans, seeking experienced people like me. But the hiring manager and their subordinate seemed focused on keeping things the same. There was a mismatch. I eventually got a rejection email. I wasn't interested in a role that didn't involve growth, so it wasn't a good fit for me either.

I found out about the Verification Engineer job through my college and emailed the hiring manager. He replied within a day, saying someone would reach out. The next day, HR called for a screening. Later, I received an email to schedule a phone interview. The interview happened the following week and lasted about 45 minutes. It was a technical interview.

The interview had two steps. First, there was an HR call, and then a meeting with one of the team's engineers. They explained what they do at the company and asked about your academic background. They really care about college grades and side projects. They inquired about your technical skills and your 5-year career plan.
