Behavioral Technical Coding Presentation

I applied online and then got an email to set up a phone interview. We talked about my experience, the company, its tech stack, and what a Java object is. About two weeks later, I got another email to schedule an onsite interview with the hiring manager, tech lead, and another developer. They had me introduce myself and talk about my experience again. Then, I answered some technical questions, behavioral questions, and did a whiteboard problem. I solved the whiteboard problem quickly without help and had good answers for the tech questions, even though many weren't in the job description. The next day, I got an automated rejection email, so I asked for feedback.

Behavioral Technical Presentation

HR reached out to me and handled everything until the offer came. They asked about my skills and ideal work environment. Then, I had a phone chat with a manager from the Salt Lake office, who asked similar things. After that, I went to their location for an interview. I had to prepare a small presentation about how a database could solve a problem. They also asked a lot of questions about database development. They made an offer by the end of that week.

Behavioral Technical

A recruiter reached out because they thought I'd be a good fit. We chatted about the role and decided we were both interested. Then, I had a quick phone interview with the recruiter. After that, they thought I was a good candidate and set up a phone interview with the hiring manager a few days later. That interview went pretty well, and I knew the answers to most of the technical questions. If the manager liked my answer, they’d ask a follow-up question that was more in-depth or built on what I said. They mentioned it was okay if I didn't know the answer, as they were just trying to gauge my knowledge.

Behavioral Technical

So, first, a recruiter from Innova hit me up on LinkedIn. Then I had a phone screen with him. After that, a technical phone screen with a senior developer who's been there a while. The last step was an in-person "murder board" panel interview, which had like, almost ten interviewers, and these guys had decades of military experience combined. Innova really leans into behavioral interviewing, so they really dig into your personality and skills with a mix of behavioral and technical questions.
