First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at InnovAge.
IT Service Desk Specialist
I received an email to schedule an initial interview via Calendly. The interview was on Zoom with the Recruiter/HR. She didn't introduce herself or talk about the company. She had a really bad attitude and asked two "Yes or No" questions that weren't relevant to the job or my skills. The interview was super short, under 5 minutes. It left a really bad impression of Innovage and I don't think this is how they should treat potential hires.
- Just to confirm, you know this isn't a remote job, right?
Admissions/Sales
The virtual interview experience was really bad. One interviewer seemed hungover and on meth, and was super short and impatient. The other two women were also really rude and dismissive, like they hated their jobs. It was good I didn't end up working in that toxic environment, so heads up if you get an offer.
- What's your approach to handling disagreements with a supervisor?
Regional Director
I got a cold call from a recruiter for 2 positions, one Nurse Manager and one Regional Director. I decided to interview for the Regional Director role, which was about an hour away and it was snowing. I got there early, but the interviewer made me wait 15 minutes and didn't apologize. The interview lasted two hours and they didn't take any notes. They said I'd hear back in 2-3 weeks. I sent a thank you text but never heard back. The job was posted again 18 days later. Their online reviews are bad, but they are going through a big transition. They should have at least contacted me to say they weren't moving forward, especially after promising to get back to me. This lack of respect is unacceptable.
- Can you tell me about your experience given you have my resume in front of you?
Clinical Director
It was a three-stage interview process. First, I had a conversation with the Center Director. Then, there was a panel interview involving doctors and nurses. Finally, I interviewed with the VP. It was intense, but that's expected for this level, and I'm accustomed to it.
- Can you describe your management style?
- What do you consider your greatest strengths?
- What are your main weaknesses?
