Campaign Manager
I had an initial phone screen with a recruiter and then an in-person interview in their San Francisco office. It was the worst interview I have ever had!!! The interviewer asked me some basic questions regarding my background and then proceeded to ask me three mathematical/logical questions. I was in shock that he gave me thirty seconds to answer the three questions he asked me. I essentially knew the interview was over at that point. He told me they were looking for someone extremely analytical and logical for the position. He had recently moved from India to run the team here, it was pretty clear he was looking for someone else from India to join his team. After the interview was over I was told the recruiter would follow up with me, not a word from them since. Very poor interviewing and follow up! I would not recommend!
- How many steps would it take to walk from your house to the office, calculating in cm and km to give an exact number?
- Given 4 identical tablets (2 for fever, 2 for cold), how would you correctly select one cold and one fever tablet to take?
- How can you time cooking an egg for exactly 15 minutes using two ropes that burn in 1 hour each, but burn unevenly?
Campaign Manager
It took over a week, with 4 rounds total, all done over the phone and Skype. The process was smooth and friendly. They've recently updated it to be more thorough, including a case study and an MS Excel assignment. They expect candidates to have industry knowledge or similar experience. Salary is not very negotiable.
- Standard puzzles were asked.
- HR questions were asked.
Digital Marketing Manager
I applied online and got a call from HR about a week later. They seemed really interested in my background and set up an interview with the hiring manager. I went to their office, and the interview lasted about FIVE MINUTES. The interviewer was mainly concerned about my ability to code websites. When I mentioned building a Wordpress site, they dismissed it as just using templates. They mentioned that updating a news release for a website can also be done with various tools, but it seemed like they lost interest. They politely thanked me for my time and said HR would follow up, but I never heard back, which I wasn't really expecting anyway. My view is that having ideas about communication and lead generation is more important than coding a webpage, something I'm probably capable of or could get help with from a front-end engineer.
- What are your coding skills for webpages?
