First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Inline Plastics.
Administrative Assistant
The interview process was straightforward and not complicated. The managers seemed friendly and keen to interview me. After I understood the day-to-day responsibilities, I felt more assured in my responses. Several managers were part of the call and posed questions. These questions provided a comprehensive view of the company's operations.
- How quickly can you pick up new systems?
Assistant Product Manager
I reached out to the hiring manager directly and sent my resume via their hiring agency. I had an in-person interview that seemed to go really well. After that, I never heard back. I sent an initial follow-up email thanking them for the opportunity, and then two more follow-ups about two weeks apart. There was absolutely ZERO communication in response. It's been 6 months and I don't expect to hear back. At this point, I wouldn't want to work for a company like that anyway.
- Can you tell me about your background and what this position would involve?
Production Manager
Initial phone screen with an internal recruiter. Then, a 20-minute onsite meet and greet with the leadership team. After about 1.5 weeks of no response, an onsite interview was scheduled. This included meeting with the Plant Manager, a plant tour, discussions with two leadership team peers, and a final phone interview with the VP of HR. The overall process felt slow and had some unnecessary steps, like the short initial meet and greet followed by a long wait before the main interview. It was also noted that the PM didn't interact with the floor employees, which wasn't a good sign.
- What motivates your interest in this position?
- Can you describe your approach to leadership?
Tool Room Supervisor
The process began with the company reaching out. They first asked for a response even if not interested to avoid pestering, but didn't offer the same courtesy when I had questions. They seemed unconcerned with qualifications like commitment or work ethic, which was evident when they suggested I could change at a Dunkin' Donuts to make it to the interview, implying no need to take time off for professional attire. I almost skipped the interview but they convinced me to attend anyway. The interview lasted almost four hours with five different people. Each interviewer seemed to be looking for reasons *not* to hire me. One interviewer treated it like a tenth-grade vocabulary test, possibly to feed his ego. Their interviewing approach feels counterproductive, especially for a company making food containers, as it pushes people away with superficiality and double standards. The tool room is in disarray, with the lead guy machining aluminum incorrectly. He's also vying for the role I interviewed for, meaning the hired candidate would face his resentment and have to correct his machining practices.
