Family Success Manager
My interview experience was very disappointing. The interview was scheduled for 12:00 AM my time in Canada, and I waited for over 25 minutes after joining on time. No one showed up or sent an update. It was concerning for a role that's supposed to be about communication and client care, given how they handled the scheduling and communication.
No confirmed questions were included in this interview report.
Graduate Coach
I was contacted by a company recruiter on LinkedIn who told gave me the job description and accepted my resume for review. Then there was an info session followed by untimed assessment tasks. The 30 minute info session involved a recruiter providing a group of candidates details of the company and the role, allowing for questions throughout. The recruiter also provided details of how the rest of the recruitment process would unfold. The last round was a follow-up interview with some role-play. The interviewer followed up on information I already provided, showing she did indeed read my application. The questions were relevant and about company fit. I then got a mock question as though the recruiter were a student seeking my advice on a particular topic. There were no vague questions such as "where do you see yourself in 5 years", or any thought exercises. All questions were directly related to the particular position, full transparency.
- A student asked for advice: "I got a 1450 on my SAT, do you think I should rewrite the SAT to get a 1500?"
Marketing
After I sent in my resume, I got an invitation for a 30-minute call with HR. About a week later, they sent me a trial task with 3 questions. I then had 2 interview rounds. The first was with my potential supervisor, focusing mostly on my skills. The second interview, which was about an hour long, included the CEO, the supervisor, and the HR manager. This round involved questions about my fit for the role, my past experiences, and my skills.
- Which do you prioritize more: salary, company culture, or career development?
Coach
I was approached via LinkedIn for this role, and then had a phone conversation. They use a scheduling software that sends auto emails, so you can't get in touch with your interviewer if you need a video call since they're based outside the US. After that, they give you two tasks to complete. I suspect these were for free work since the reviews suggest the whole company is based on scummy tactics. This is followed by an automated email saying sorry we don't have the correct candidates for your profile. They also say on LinkedIn you'll be compensated $25-50/hour based on experience, but this changes drastically in the interview, and they reveal the compensation is based on milestones, not time spent. It feels like bait and switch tactics.
- Could you describe the job role and the fictitious tasks involved?
