Product Designer
So, the whole process had five parts. First, a chat with HR. Then, I spoke with a team member and the team leader. After that, there was a test task to check my skills. Next, I had a one-on-one follow-up with the team leader. Finally, I had the last interview with the VP. It was a good experience overall, the questions were pretty much what I expected, and they were clear and honest in their communication, plus it felt like a positive and friendly vibe.
- Can you discuss your past work and the projects you've been involved in?
Software Developer
The interview process involved a few steps: first, a behavioral interview to gauge your soft skills, then a technical test task to check your coding abilities, followed by an interview with the team lead for team fit, and finally, some general testing. They looked at how you solve problems, lead, communicate, and adapt to different situations. The whole thing took about 1 to 1.5 hours.
- Could you explain OOP patterns and give instances of their application in your experience?
Frontend Developer
The interview had a few stages. First, there was an initial assessment that was a bit challenging but I did well after a little practice. The quick setup for the next step meant they liked my test task, which was nice. The second stage was a technical interview, and it was pretty straightforward because the questions were typical for a frontend developer role. The third interview was a "Leadership Behavioral Interview." The interviewer seemed disengaged, reading questions from a job board without much interaction. After this, I heard feedback that the interviewer had doubts about me being a good cultural fit, which makes me question the company, as I feel one person's opinion shouldn't solely determine cultural fit.
- What is your motivation for seeking employment with our company?
- In what ways do you identify as a top-tier engineer?
- Could you describe a situation where you were required to manage a conflict?
Android Technical Lead
The interview process had 4 stages. First, I had to record a video answering general questions about my experience. Second, I had to complete an online questionnaire about my values. Third, I spoke with two Android engineers. This interview covered Android, Clear Arch, Modularisation, and Coroutines. Fourth, I had an interview with the CTO, which was not a good experience. The interviewer seemed disengaged and was just reading questions about management style, dealing with difficult situations, and firing people. After this final interview, I received no feedback, despite following up. I was told they were collecting information to make a decision and I'd hear back in a few days, but I never did. I sent another email asking for feedback, but got no response, not even a rejection.
- What's your type of management?
- Can you think of a time in the last 6 months that you did something wrong?
- How do you deal with pressure?
