Behavioral Technical Coding

Had 2 interviews - the first was with HR, and the second was a technical panel with 3 people. The panel interview was very technical, testing my knowledge on OOP, Java 8+, Functional Programming, Spring, and JPA/Hibernate. It also had a coding question where I couldn't use an IDE, and we did pair programming. The live coding part got cut short because we ran over the scheduled time.

Technical Coding

I got a home assignment which was pretty time consuming and I had to finish it in 3 days. My solution wasn't perfect, but I still got an invite for the technical interview. The questions asked were mostly easy and average difficulty. They also threw in an easy Leetcode problem during the interview. The interviewers were mostly nice and accommodating. After a few days, I got an offer.

The first chat was pretty good and chill. There was an engineer and a manager. They asked some job-related questions about relevant knowledge. I got positive feedback and they asked me to schedule a second meeting. I replied and asked for a different date, and a day later I got rejected, saying the position was no longer available. Honestly, I thought it was kinda weird. I was happy about the positive feedback, only to get a generic rejection a day later without a real reason. A direct rejection would have been better.
