I went through 3 interviews for this role. First, there was a chat with HR, then an interview with the head of the unit, and finally, I spoke with the project lead. The interviews were conducted in both English and French, and everyone I met was really nice. Unfortunately, I didn't hear back after the interviews.

I was submitted for a Senior BA role at ING Sydney Australia within their Risk and regulatory space by a recruitment agency. The interview was average and a two-way communication. I was told after the interview that they really liked me and wanted to progress straight to the offer stage, and made me wait for a week or two. After a few weeks, the recruitment agency called to tell me that the position I was interviewed for was not approved yet and hence they would like me to meet another head of risk for another urgent position. This interaction/interview was very positive too, and I was quite keen to progress ahead and was told to wait. After waiting for another 2 weeks, I was told that they are not progressing at this stage but might consider me for another position once it is made available. Really frustrating experience and tells a lot about the organisation's indecisive and uncertain leadership and processes.

I applied and got a quick response, with a phone call scheduled for the next day with HR. The call was about 30-40 minutes and included generic questions like why ING and what my strengths are. It also covered my years of experience in specific domains for the role and salary expectations. Three days after a follow-up message, I got a rejection letter stating the hiring manager didn't select me for further steps. I'm not sure about the process in the Netherlands, but it seems logical to be pre-selected by the hiring manager to avoid a pointless HR conversation, or perhaps they're misleading. It was strange. Generally, responses to applications came within 2-3 days, which is quite fast. However, there was no explanation for the rejection, even after I contacted the HR specialist and clearly met all requirements. It felt like being ghosted repeatedly.
