it was a very brief chat. the interviewer was asking about my background, education, and experience. their main concern was to see if i qualified for the next step in their process. it was pleasant. this person wasn't the final decision maker, but i knew i had to impress them to move forward.

I applied online and then heard back about a month later. First, there was a phone interview with HR, then another phone interview with the Corp Controller. After that, I had a 1:1 with the CFO, and finally, an in-person and conference call group panel interview with the corporate management team. They really dug into my background and asked behavioral questions, which helped me get a good sense of the role and what they're looking for.

I had to take a personality test before the interview, where I selected 10 applicable traits from a list of about 25. The interview itself was with the manager and VP, though the VP did most of the talking and asked standard questions, often talking a lot himself. They didn't ask many questions.

The interview process was subpar. Promises were made that weren't kept, and I wasn't kept informed about what was expected. Training was non-existent. I was expected to do a job with no real structure or solid practices. There was no information flow and the computer programs were bad and constantly failed, with poorly trained IT to handle the issues.
