So on day 1, we had three rounds. Round 1 was quite long, like 1h40min, and covered aptitude, Java, C (output), general computer knowledge, English, and some essay questions. Then Round 2 was about 1 hour, focusing on discussions about output functions in libraries and a specific problem: given two lists with registration numbers, one in order and another shuffled, find an efficient way to map the serial numbers. It also included algorithms, data structures, and analytical questions, plus a bit about big/little endian, areas of interest, and OSI layers. Round 3, also an hour, was more general HR stuff, but also touched on OOPS, OS, DBMS, Java concepts, and programming questions. We also had to figure out how to count orders per person from a table with PIDs and order IDs.

The interview process started with a written test, which had 20 technical questions focusing on Java basics and 20 app-related questions, all to be completed in 60 minutes. The next day, there was a group discussion (GD), followed by two technical interviews. They skipped the HR round, likely due to time constraints. The first technical interview delved deep into subjects like operating systems and Object-Oriented Programming (OOP). The second technical interview was easier, covering Java basics and SQL, with some puzzles.

I was contacted by a staffing agency for this role, and they were pretty flexible with scheduling the interviews. When I got to the office, I had to wait about an hour before going into a couple of technical rounds, followed by a management round. The whole thing was pretty much done in one day, though there were some follow-up phone discussions a couple of days later. The technical interviews were challenging but fair for my experience level, focusing on Java and database concepts. The management round felt a bit easier since I'd done well technically, but be prepared for some brain teasers.

The HR was very unprofessional. After I received positive feedback from the first interview and was told about a second one, I heard nothing back. I also got no response to my calls or emails. It was a waste of time if they weren't planning to hire anyone. Even if plans change, HR should update candidates. It seems HR doesn't know the job.
