Sales Director
I applied online and heard back from an in-house recruiter the next day for an initial phone screening. They were really thorough and professional, giving me all the details about the process and how long it would take. The recruiter kept me updated exactly when they said they would, which was nice. Then I had two separate phone interviews with the hiring manager and someone else on his team. They were both polite, professional, and honest about any concerns they had about me fitting the role. Everyone I spoke to was respectful and punctual for our scheduled calls. All in all, the process felt comprehensive, with some questions that were understandably detailed and challenging. The recruiter let me know quickly and politely that they weren't moving forward with my application, and even though I was bummed, I appreciated how responsive and professional they were.
- How do you think your previous experience aligns with the requirements of this position?
Sales Director
I applied through Glassdoor and was contacted by a recruiter. They sent me a personality and skills test, which I completed. Then I had a 40-minute call with the recruiter. We both seemed to want to move forward. The recruiter then sent a presentation about the company. But after following up several times, I never heard back, which surprised me since the interview went well and the recruiter said they'd move me forward. It would've been nice to get a rejection at least, considering the assessment time. Probably a bad recruiter, not the company, but still a bad impression.
- Why are you interested in this position?
Sales Director
We started with a chat with HR, then if possible we met in person. Next were two presentation role plays, one using InfoScout's product and another using something I was familiar with. After those, I had a phone call with the GM of Sales and then a phone call with the CEO. They also required references from at least two former managers and two clients. It was a very thorough, situational interview process.
