Behavioral Presentation

The interview process for this role was pretty straightforward and consisted of three rounds. Although I didn't receive an offer, the company was very communicative throughout. I first spoke with a recruiter, then a manager, and finally a C-suite executive along with another manager. After the process, the recruiter called to let me know they had selected another candidate, providing some feedback on their decision and why the other person was chosen. Despite not getting the offer, it was a positive experience, and I'd consider applying again for future roles that interest me.

I got an email from the company, and it was super happy and uplifting, saying how excited they were about my application and wanted to set up an interview. We scheduled a time. I remembered to check Glassdoor, which is a lifesaver, and saw a lot of people mentioning ghosting from this company. So, I kept that in mind. The interview kicked off with a question that I always find a bit strange: 'What do you know about informa connect?'. The interviewer seemed really pleased with my CV and what I could bring to the company, just like others had experienced according to Glassdoor. They mentioned the hiring team would be thrilled to chat with me. I asked about the company's target audience at the end, but hilariously, the interviewer didn't know. They promised to email me the answer later that day or the next at the latest. I never heard back, which was expected given what I'd read. So, thankfully, I wasn't too bothered about sending a follow-up. If you're interviewing with them, be prepared to be ghosted.

I've experienced some unprofessionalism with their recruiting team. I tried to connect with them multiple times about scheduling the first interview, and after receiving an email to set up a phone interview with a talent partner, I picked a date. On the day of the interview, I waited all day for their call. I ended up reaching out to the talent partner who had given me the date, and she said she'd reply. Again, I waited days for her to get back to me via email. I'm not sure what's happening with their hiring team, but it's unprofessional to keep candidates waiting this long for a response. They should either inform candidates that the role is filled or conduct the interview as scheduled, instead of ghosting candidates.

We had a group interview with 7 candidates. First, we had to draw a shield and divide it into 4 parts: 1) listing 3 material and 2 immaterial important things; 2) 3 points about our 5-year future goals; 3) some points on what attracts us to the role and what we find challenging; 4) a positive and a negative person in our lives. After this, we were given an item (like shoes or a phone) and had to pitch it after presenting our shield. The interview wrapped up with a 30-second individual talk about our past professional experience and who we are, followed by a 1-on-1 interview/CV review in front of the group. It was a tough interview overall. A hint for future candidates: emphasize why commission is crucial to you, as this seems to be a key focus area for them.
