Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Infogain.
Systems Engineer
Infogain came to my college and conducted a process that involved an aptitude test, a technical interview, and an HR interview. The aptitude questions were easy, but the management of the test was very poor, with students cheating and using Google. This made it difficult for honest students to get ahead. Out of 194 students, only 78 qualified for the technical and HR rounds, and eventually, only 13 were selected. It seems like the selected candidates might have been predetermined.
- Were the questions asked in the Technical Round very easy?
Systems Administrator
The process started with a call from Infogain's HR. Then, I had a first round with the IT Manager, followed by a second round with the IT Head. Finally, I met with someone from HR to sort out the salary details. The whole thing wrapped up in 3 days.
- Considering file permissions rwx---r--, would I, as a group member (not the owner), have read access?
- Which command is used to show a list of processes that are currently running?
Systems Engineer
The interview process has 3 rounds: an online aptitude test with coding, followed by a technical round, and then an HR round. There's a 2-3 year bond agreement where you have to pay 1 lakh rupees if you want to leave, otherwise, they return it with interest. All rounds were simple, but it totally depends on luck that day.
- Can you tell me about a major project you've completed?
