HR first mentioned that there would be four stages: an initial HR screening, a Technical Round, a Technomanagerial Round, and a final HR discussion. After the HR screening, my resume got shortlisted and my first technical interview was scheduled. Even though the interview was scheduled for 45 minutes, it ran for about an hour and 5 minutes. During this time, I answered about 90% of the questions about Python, SQL, AWS Lambda, Flask, and my projects. Twenty minutes later, HR told me I passed with excellent feedback and they scheduled the next round. The second round also took 45 minutes, and I answered all the technical questions confidently. However, at the end, the interviewer asked an analytical question not related to the technologies. I provided an approach, but he didn't seem happy. Twenty minutes after the interview, HR informed me that the round didn't go well, but they couldn't give a specific reason. In the end, even though I performed well overall, my application was rejected, seemingly because of that one analytical question.

The interview process had 3 rounds. The first round was an online assessment with 20 MCQs covering SQL, Pandas, logical reasoning, and quantitative topics. The second round was a face-to-face technical and HR interview. It started with SQL theory questions, followed by written SQL queries and Python coding. Specifically, I had to write SQL to find the maximum salary and duplicate emails from a table, and Python code to find missing values in a list. The third round was a final HR formality. The difficulty felt easy overall, although I didn't prepare well at that time and missed some basic concepts, which is why I didn't get the role then. Some friends did get the role, so I'm happy for them. The company's ambitions seemed good.

So at Infogain, first there might be this online test thing, it's optional though. Then you'll have like one or two tech interviews where they grill you on Java, Spring Boot, and microservices stuff. After that, there's a manager chat, mostly about your past work and how you talk to people. And the last step is HR, where you sort out the salary and when you can join. The whole thing is usually done in about a week.
