First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Infogain.
Azure Data Engineer
I had a face-to-face interview with Infogain and it was a good experience overall. The interview lasted about an hour and was technical in nature. Unfortunately, I was not selected. They primarily focused on questions related to PySpark and SQL.
- Can you tell me about your experience with Spark and data engineering concepts?
Data Engineer
My experience with the interview for the Data Engineer role at Infogain was pretty disappointing for a few reasons. The recruiter seemed like they didn't really know much about the job requirements. They hadn't even looked at my resume before we talked, which made the whole thing feel pointless. Also, they didn't seem very interested, making it feel like they were just going through the motions to hit a quota instead of actually trying to see if I'd be a good fit or tell me anything useful about the company or job. Because of how unprofessional it was, I wouldn't recommend this interview to anyone, as it just didn't feel respectful or engaging.
- Can you discuss your past projects?
- Could you tell me about your academic background?
Data Engineer
The interview process had 3 rounds. First was an online exam with sections on aptitude, data engineering, coding, and SQL. Then a technical interview, which was quite long, about 1.5 hours. It started with general questions about my skills, covering Python, SQL, and PySpark at an easy to moderate level. Finally, a managerial round where they asked about my experience, my role in previous teams, and challenges I faced and how I handled critical tasks.
- Can you explain the internal workings and architecture of PySpark?
