Software Engineer
So the process started with a recruiter phone screen. After that, I met with the CTO. The next step was supposed to be an onsite with a technical part and then board games during lunch. The recruiter emailed me after talking to the CTO to see how I thought it went. I replied, but then heard nothing for a week and a half. I emailed twice, and he finally got back, saying they were swamped and offered a call, which he then missed because he had an interview. After another call, maybe two or three, I was told they decided not to move forward for their own reasons. I get it, but it was three weeks since I met the CTO. If they had decided, a quick email would have been fine, not three weeks. It felt really unprofessional and I was pretty appalled by the whole thing.

Director
Influitive has a really thorough interview process. It kicked off with a 45-minute phone screen. After that, I had a 2-hour in-person interview which included meeting with the CEO and then a panel of three people, and finally another Director. It wasn't a standard interview; it felt more like an open discussion to really get a sense of my drive and where I want to go, rather than just checking off skills and experience boxes. The company was super open, which was great because I learned so much. They answered all my questions, even the more intrusive ones. The most unique part was next: Influitive asked me to come in and actually work alongside someone for a few hours. They wanted to see what it's like to collaborate with me. I helped out with planning for an upcoming event, thinking through the best ways to maximize its impact. It was a learning experience for me about how the company operates, and for them, it was a chance to see me in action in a real work scenario.
- Would you be willing to come in and work on a real situation we have?

IT Systems Specialist
This was one of the toughest, but most worthwhile, interview processes I've gone through. It kicked off with a phone interview that felt like a chat, asking about my problem-solving skills, teamwork, and how I'd handle tech situations. I was then told to expect in-person interviews if I advanced, and I got an email confirming I'd reached the in-person stage. My first in-person interview was with the Senior Manager of Team Operations and Culture. They started by explaining the company's departments and their main jobs. Then, they asked questions about that explanation and presented theoretical challenges (both small and big scale) based on the business structure. Right after that, I talked with the Director of Product and Customer Experience about how I'd tackled tech problems in past roles. I got another email for a second in-person interview with the Chief of Staff, Senior Marketing Manager, and a Regional Sales Manager. The questions were similar, focusing on how I handle challenges and work in a team, and each person asked how I'd solve their specific current issues. They all gave me plenty of time for my own questions. Next, I had a third in-person interview with the VP of Finance and Operations, and the VP of Talent Operations and Strategy. These interviews got more high-level, looking into my ability to find win-win solutions for challenges Influitive might face as it grows. Later, I was asked to do a Sync-Up, a 9-minute video call with all Influitive employees globally. (I even made a joke during the meeting that landed really well!). After that, I got a verbal offer and a full rundown of the details, which I accepted. Throughout the entire process, there was a strong focus on the company culture at Influitive: positive, open, strategic, proactive, and team-oriented, where people work hard and enjoy themselves. Being part of this process and meeting so many different people was incredibly valuable, even if an offer wasn't on the table, it was worth the time commitment.

Events Marketing Manager
After applying on LinkedIn, the Hiring Manager reached out for a 30min chat to see if I understood the company and if it was a mutual fit. Then, I had a 3-hour in-person meeting with various team members and leaders, including an interview with the VP of Marketing. The final step involved a 45-minute presentation to the Marketing team demonstrating how I, in this new role, could contribute. I received the offer two days later. The whole experience was super relaxed, and the Hiring Manager was really flexible with my scheduling needs.
- What's your understanding of our product and how you'd contribute?
- Can you tell us about your cultural and professional fit?
- How do you see yourself and someone in this role contributing to the team?
