I had one 30 minute interview where we talked about my previous work experience, projects, and education. They asked a lot about my technical communication skills and seemed to care about that the most.

I had a phone screen that went really well. They wanted to bring me in for an in-person interview right away. During the in-person interview, I met with the manager of the 100x clean room. He was a really nice guy and it seemed to go great. Then, the managers of the other clean rooms came in and asked me some questions. That's when I think things went downhill. I was told at the end of the interview that I'd definitely be hearing back and HR would be in touch ASAP. I left feeling hopeful. After waiting two weeks, I called, and the HR person said they were looking for someone with more experience.

I got a call and was invited for an interview. Initially, I spoke with an HR person about my background, some job details, and the benefits. Then, I had separate interviews with three people: the production manager, an engineering associate, and the repair supervisor. They all asked me technical questions or more about my background. I also got a tour of the production floor. Afterward, I went back to HR to discuss benefits more. Some technical questions were tough because, as a recent grad, I hadn't done much mechanical or electrical work on their instruments. The repair supervisor and production manager asked about classes outside my major, which felt like they hadn't reviewed my resume. The engineering associate, who had a similar background to me, asked more reasonable questions.

It was super disorganized. Nobody seemed to have notes or even looked at my resume before I arrived. I went through five interviews, and they kept asking me the same few questions repeatedly. Before the actual interview, they gave me a list of tools and asked me to rate my proficiency, but none of those tools were even discussed during the interviews. It felt like a huge waste of time.
