I'd say the interview process was pretty unique, unlike anything I'd experienced before, but it moved fast and was really efficient. I think this approach really speeds things up overall.

The hiring process was super invasive with a lot of personal questions. Everything seemed to be going well, and the hiring manager asked for my references and compensation expectations, saying next steps were coming. She then called all my references and they confirmed the calls went well. The recruiter even told me to get excited unofficially because an offer was supposedly on its way. But then, out of nowhere, the hiring manager called and very coldly told me I wasn't getting the offer. She mentioned I was a great culture fit and my references were great, but they chose someone with more direct experience for this role. She hung up abruptly. It felt like a waste of my references' time and the recruiter got my hopes up for nothing. They should have figured out the better fit earlier instead of handling it this way. Really disappointing and unprofessional.

I applied online and then had to do a 5-question video recording interview. After that, I had a phone interview with the hiring manager. Finally, I was invited onsite for a half-day of round-robin interviews.
