Started with a recruiter or HR phone call. Then had a teams meeting with the Unit Manager. Didn't get a clear timeline and was surprised to see my application listed as 'status not retained' when looking for travel nurses. Unsure if I made a mistake during the interview or if it's because I've switched jobs too often lately.

I interviewed for SICU. We just talked about why I picked this health system, what traits I think nurses need, and some scenario questions like 'Tell me about a tough patient you had to handle and what you learned.' There were about 5 scenario questions, and the interviewer was really engaging. I also got to ask about the unit and what continuing my education and training would be like as a nurse.

The managers were very professional and friendly. I got a tour of the unit and shadowed one of the nurses. They let me pick a different unit than the one I was interviewed for. They also waited for me to pass the boards. I went through the residency program for new grads. It was a good experience overall.
