First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Indiana Professional Management Group.
Case Manager
Applied online, then had a pre-screening phone call to check my resume and ask a few things. After that, I had an in-person interview out in the community. Got the job offer not long after.
- Can you tell me about your previous work experience?
- How would you approach different kinds of situations?
- What are your strategies for managing challenging circumstances?
Case Manager
So, first I had this virtual interview, and then after that, I went in for an in-person one. They were both pretty in-depth. The in-person part felt really chill, though, I guess it really depends on who you end up talking to.
- Tell me about a time you missed a deadline.
Case Manager
Applied online and got a call for an interview less than 24 hours later. Had an interview with two supervisors, and it seemed to go well. They asked why I wanted to work with people with disabilities and about my background. A couple days later, I had an in-person interview with the district manager where they asked more about my casework experience. There was a bit of a bait-and-switch where they mentioned possibly offering a part-time role instead of full-time, which I found surprising since part-time is basically full-time without benefits. I said I'd think about it. About two weeks later, I got an offer for a full-time position.
- What makes you want to work with people who have disabilities?
- Would you be open to working from home?
- Can you tell me about your background?
Case Manager
Applied on line and received a call from a supervisor about a week later. I live in Ft. Wayne but was asked to interview in Indianapolis. I asked if we could possibly have a phone interview because of the driving distance but was denied as it had to be "face to face" and apparently the supervisor did not want to travel to me. That should have been my first clue as to how employees (or potential employees) were treated. To add insult to injury, interview only lasted 20 minutes as she needed to pick up her child from school. The questions were laughable at best and it seemed that she was detached and really just wanted to hire a "warm body". I was offered the job and used it as a means to get more experience before moving on to another case management agency in Indiana.
- Can you define case management and are you capable of performing its duties?
- Are you able to perform case management duties?
