Had a three step interview process. First, an HR call about background and availability. Then, a design/modelling test which was a CAD exam using SolidWorks, involving part and assembly modelling. Finally, a technical phone screen that was 45 minutes long. They got back to me 5-7 business days after the final round.

First, I met with HR to go over the general workings of the company. After that, I had a technical interview, and then I met with the COO. The technical interviewers were pretty rude, except for one. While I understand professionalism is key, they could have been a bit nicer. They acted like I bombed every question and were condescending. It wasn't a great experience. Meeting the COO was better, but it wasn't really an interview. His questions were all about being a woman in a field that's mostly men. He asked things like 'What's it like being a female in software engineering?' and 'How do you deal with working with a lot of guys?' While I don't mind discussing it a little, that's not why I'm here. Unless they hired me because I'm a woman, I guess. Who knows.

I applied online. The HR contacted me on a Sunday, which was pathetic. I spoke with HR about the role. Then, out of nowhere, the hiring manager called me without any prior scheduling, which was extremely unprofessional. The manager started by asking about my resume and then, again out of nowhere, began asking random technical questions, expecting great answers. The manager ignored my experience and judged me on impromptu answers, which was ridiculous behavior.
