Cyber Security Engineer
This interview process was a mess. The IT/Cybersecurity department leadership seems clueless about what they're looking for. I was told I had "hands-on, not hands-in," which is completely unclear. The interviewer wasn't even in cybersecurity, and mentioned they just hired a director who wasn't starting until the next week. This felt like a major red flag. When I asked about their cybersecurity strategy, the answer was just "monitoring," which was the response to all my detailed questions. It seems this organization prioritizes tools over building a solid cybersecurity program, which might explain their recent breach. I'd advise avoiding this place.
- They'll ask about your background and tailor technical questions based on it.
Care Coordinator
The interview process was over the phone with two supervisors because of COVID. They were very pleasant and professional, asking standard questions about my background and experience. This part of the interview took about 30 minutes and went smoothly. However, HR's conduct was unprofessional. I didn't hear back about the position for a month, and was surprised to get an offer then, as I had already started interviewing elsewhere. The HR person, who seemed to be in a high position, was reluctant to provide an offer letter or details about benefits, even asking why I needed that information. When I asked about the background check, she pushed for an immediate acceptance without understanding I wanted to ensure everything was in order before resigning from my current job. She responded by asking why the background check mattered if I had no issues. I made a counter offer, and she got permission to text me. She texted me back later while I was working late, and an hour after that, I received a text with only a question mark. In my opinion, this was very unprofessional. Good workers at FCC/ILS would appreciate offer letters, emails, and some basic benefit information. While I really wanted the FCC/ILS position, the negative HR experience led me to accept a different job with less pay but better benefits. I wish I had an HR contact who was enthusiastic about discussing their company.
- Can you tell me a little about yourself?
Vice President
I interviewed with the CEO, Sr VPO, and VPO. We talked about performance expectations and my experience in relation to them. We also discussed how I would help the client pass federal and state audits, and what growth opportunities there might be. I also identified departments to be supervised under this position and talked about issues related to why the previous VP left.
- Can you describe your experience concerning the company role and performance expectations?
- Tell me about your experience helping clients pass federal and state audits.
- Which departments would you be supervising in this role?
Service Manager
I had a phone screen and then an on-site interview where I met with HR, the COO, and a nurse. They did a reference check and then offered me the job on a Saturday afternoon. I asked for more time to consider because I had other interviews, and they agreed to let me have until the next Friday. However, just 3 days later, I got a voicemail saying they had hired someone else because the position was urgent. They never mentioned they might offer it to another candidate, and they had promised to hold the position for me. This company is untrustworthy, and I'm glad I didn't accept the offer. Their poor communication really reflects badly on them.
- Could you describe your approach to managing a team?
