I applied online for this remote role. I had a phone interview with a recruiter, followed by a Zoom interview. During the Zoom interview, it felt like the interviewer wasn't as engaged. Even though the job was remote and listed my state, she mentioned a preference for local candidates. I never received any further communication, despite sending a follow-up email. In today's automated world, there's really no excuse for ghosting candidates.
