First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Inari.
Legal Counsel
I had a screening call, and then after about three months, I got a rejection email. By then, I had already started a new job and completely forgot about this interview. It was one of the longest waits I've ever had for an interview update.
- What makes you want to join Inari?
Corporate Strategy Associate
It was pretty straightforward. Everyone was super nice and easy to talk to. Started with the strat lead, then a case study, then I had 3 interviews with different directors, and if I got that far, the last step would've been the CEO. The office was in a good spot, and the people were great, but unfortunately, the pay wasn't what I was looking for, so I couldn't move forward.
- How would you go about understanding foreign markets and developing a strategy to commercialize our products?
Scientist
I applied online and a recruiter reached out. We had a 30-minute phone interview, followed by three 30-minute Skype interviews. One of those was rescheduled because the interviewer had a conflict. After getting good feedback, they flew me to Cambridge for a day. It started with a presentation, then I had about 30-minute interviews with several people. They asked for references a few days later. After I gave them my references, they called to say I'd get an offer within a week. This was early March. I followed up a few weeks later since I hadn't heard anything, and they said they were interviewing others. It's now June and I still don't have a definitive answer. It was really unprofessional to say I'd get an offer and then go silent.
- Can you tell me about your experience with R?
Research Associate
It took me a little over a month from when I applied to when I got the offer. I applied online and got an email the same day to set up a phone interview. The phone interview was 15 minutes and mostly asked about the skills on my CV. Within a couple days, I got an email for a 2 hour video interview with some team members and an HR person. These were general interview questions. Then there was a third video interview with other team leads.
- Describe a time you had to deal with a coworker in the lab whom you didn't get along with, and explain how you handled it.
