I applied online and then got an invite for a personal interview at Calgary. After that, there was a technical written test. Then I had an interview with the manager in person. A few days later, I had a video interview with a manager from Exxon.

So for this engineering role, the first thing is they will call you for a 1 hour Skype interview. It's probably gonna be with an employee not a manager. If you do well, then you'll have a 4 hour in person interview. This will include a technical interview and two behavioral interviews. The technical one will be with a senior engineer, and the behavioral ones will be with your future boss and another manager. You'll likely be in a group of people interviewing that day. They take the group out for dinner at the end of the day. The technical part is the hardest part of the interview. You should really review your school stuff and think about things related to how a refinery works. They ask troubleshooting questions. Mine was about troubleshooting a distillation column.
