Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Imperial College London.
Office Administrator
The interview invite said the interview would be an hour long and asked me to call when I arrived. They gave me a long task that needed way more than 20 minutes to complete. I had to wait half an hour for the panel to be ready, not because they had other interviews, but because they just weren't available. Another candidate was waiting at the same time, which was awkward and unprofessional. The interview itself was fine but very intimidating. I think the department of materials is one to avoid. I hope other departments respect candidates' time better and set expectations. Really poor!
- Regarding your skills and experience, what can you bring to this role?
Personal Assistant
It was short and straight to the point. I had a 1st group panel interview and got an invite for a 2nd 1:1 interview after a few hours, and then got a call with an offer an hour after the 2nd interview. Questions were also direct, interviewers were nice and friendly, interview was surprisingly easy and short

The interview process was friendly and professional. I received positive feedback, which I found helpful for my subsequent interviews. I was really impressed with how friendly everyone was. I left the interview feeling good about myself and felt like I learned more than I knew before going in.
