I applied online and had to answer questions about why I wanted to join, my skills and goals, and what I knew about the company. I got an interview invite the next day and set it up for the following week over the phone. On interview day, nobody showed up and I didn't hear back for a few days. I rescheduled and we had a good talk about my background and what I could contribute. Then, I was given an assessment to create customer service responses for different situations and had to provide my WPM. After that, I had another phone interview with a group of people, focusing on office culture and personality fit. They said they'd let me know within the week, but I never heard back, and my follow-ups went unanswered. It was frustrating because I thought Imperfect was supposed to be friendly and compassionate, but they weren't during hiring. I wish they'd just told me I didn't get the job instead of leaving me hanging for months. I finally gave up today after waiting so long. A clear rejection would have been so much better than being strung along. I had high hopes for Imperfect, but they really let me down.

The company wanted me to commit to a few interviews over a 2-month period, which I did. They seemed like good experiences, but after they were all done, it took two weeks and two follow-ups to get any feedback. It's pretty rude to ghost people these days. They told me the salary I wanted was fine, and the hiring managers said I'd be mentoring others. But when they rejected me, they said the role would be the opposite now - they were hiring junior people to be mentored. Everyone I talked to before said the job was expected to "hit the ground running" with little to no training. I really didn't like the sudden change of direction and the wasted time. Super unprofessional.

Behavioral Technical

I was contacted on LinkedIN by a recruiter who thought I would be a good fit. After speaking with them and sending my info, I had a 30 minute phone interview about three days later. The interview ended with me being told I wouldn't get an in person interview because I lacked specific knowledge about seasonal produce. I appreciated their directness and honesty, as many employers ghost candidates. They were upfront about why I wasn't moving forward, which I really respected. Despite not getting the offer, I have a positive impression of the company and would apply again for a suitable role.

Behavioral Technical

The interview process started with a manager interview that was mostly behavioral questions. The manager didn't seem very friendly or interested from the start of our video call. There was a technical test which was okay. However, I received feedback that my code wouldn't work if the page design changed, which seems odd because that's part of automation. They also said I lacked documentation for my tests, making them hard for someone unfamiliar to understand. I think the manager just didn't like me and used these points as reasons to reject me.
