So we had 2 rounds. First was just a chill chat about my background and if I was a good fit for the job, focusing on my marketing skills and talking about what the role entails. Then, the second stage involved a presentation where they asked some questions afterwards.

I had a chat with a recruiter from the company. She was nice and seemed prepared. The call itself was alright, though she couldn't answer all my questions. We discussed what happens next, but I never heard back from them. I get that they're busy, but not even sending a rejection email is bad form.

It was a friendly interview. They asked about my past staffing experience and my experience with different portals and accounts receivable. I was also asked to provide details on my previous account management, specifically how many accounts I handled/reviewed. It's important to be honest about salary expectations and to inquire about future growth opportunities.

It was a 3-stage interview process, which felt like a complete waste of my time. They told me I was perfect for the job but expressed concern that I might book holidays when projects became difficult, citing past behavior. This feedback was upsetting because I've never done that; I've even worked on holidays during project go-lives if there were delays and traveled to local offices when needed. I always go above and beyond. They interviewed me, a contractor, for a permanent role, and then, a month later, voiced concerns about a contractor's potential difficulty adapting to permanent staff life, like the risk of them leaving abruptly. This is a concern they should have considered before even starting the interview process for contractors. My overall impression was that the project role had significant issues, and there was a lot of fear and politics involved. In the third interview, when I asked about the main concerns regarding the project, I was told I'd need to sign an NDA to get an answer. The selection committee seemed nice, but I'm glad it didn't work out, as I received a better offer elsewhere. My advice to Impellam is to respect applicants' time and provide honest feedback.
