Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Impact Guru.
Product Manager
The interview process involved 3 interviews and 1 assignment. I interviewed with the VP and CPO. The entire process spanned about 15 days, concluding with a final in-person interview.
- Could you provide a root cause analysis for the reduction in Swiggy app orders over the past three months?
Product Strategist
First, there was a telephonic screening. Then, candidates interviewed with a current PM for PM Round 1. After that, candidates interviewed with the VP of Product for the VP Product interview round. There was also an assignment to check analytical knowledge, where candidates had to complete an analytical assignment. Finally, there was salary negotiation.
- Tell me about your prior experience.
- How familiar are you with Product trends and tools?
- Can you describe a time when your efforts directly impacted website performance?
Product Manager
I applied for a full-time product manager role through iimjobs. The process started with a case study that I put a lot of effort into. After that, there were several phone interviews, all of which I felt went well. However, after they selected me, they offered a consultancy position instead of the full-time role. Additionally, the offer letter specified only 6 paid leaves and 6 sick leaves annually, which I believe might be against Indian labor laws. Despite requesting a change from the CEO, no adjustments were made regarding these issues. It seemed like they didn't really value or care about their employees, so I turned down the offer.
- Can you compare Impact Guru to its competitors regarding product user experience?
- What are the available tools in the market for collecting UX feedback, and how do they compare?
- What product features would you propose building over the next six months?
