It started with a recruiter call, then the hiring manager, and then a bunch of peers. I think there were about 8 calls in total. After putting in a lot of time, they went completely silent. I had to chase them, and they just gave me the runaround, still no clear answer. That was over a month ago. It's really unprofessional to waste that much time and not follow up, especially since they reached out first.

The experience was extremely Unprofessional. My first interview was a phone interview with the CEO of the startup. it ended with him inviting me to come down and work for two months on a temporary basis. I had to follow up after a week and I was told there were certain issues raised about my English. I had four more rounds of interviews with various partners and their Venture Capitalist. this was followed by a background check. After two weeks of hearing nothing I contacted them and was asked to come down for 6 in person interviews. once there I had an additional interview with the HR manager who went to extent of discussing my living arrangement. After another 3 days they did not make the offer. The reason given was they weren't hiring at this point.

The interview process was quite simple and accommodating. The first step was a recruiter call where they asked about my background and some basic HR questions. After that, I had an interview with the Hiring Manager, which was split into two parts. The first half involved situational questions, and the second half was a discussion about industry trends and my interests, which felt more like a conversation. Then, a Sr. Product Manager asked me more situational and behavioral questions, including some challenging and engaging ones. The final round was a panel interview with the Head of Product, a Sr. Product Manager, and the VP of Engineering. They presented a hypothetical business case for me to solve and present, which showed that the company wasn't looking for free problem-solving. Overall, it was a great experience.
