I just talked with HR. It was about 15 minutes long—mostly just an introduction and some basic questions. The vibe was really chill and there wasn't much pressure. Hopefully, I'll have two more rounds—one with the manager and one with the team.

It was a pretty standard interview process. There were 3 rounds in total. I first spoke with the recruiter, then the hiring manager, and finally the director. They asked some technical questions, but it was mostly behavioral. The whole experience was smooth and everyone I spoke with was pleasant.

The recruiter reached out to me for an interview. I had a video call with the recruiter and thought it went well. I followed up a week later to check in and never heard back. No response to let me know I wasn't moving forward and no response to my email either. Disappointing on the lack of communication.

I'm writing this to share my interview experience and give you the rundown. My first interview was a phone call with the hiring manager for the microbiology department. It was pretty straightforward, with technical questions, questions about my interest in the role, and then we discussed the job itself. It seemed like they were hiring a lot of people right then. I felt good about it, and the manager seemed to like me. She passed my info along to HR for a second interview. The second interview was supposed to be on Zoom. But, about 10 hours before it was scheduled, HR emailed asking if I could come in for an extra 2 hours for a practical. I saw in the email chain that the manager had requested it, but I wasn't included on that email. This was super late notice, the night before my interview. I had a bad feeling about the company due to their hiring practices and decided to withdraw my application. The hiring manager called me wondering why I missed the Zoom call, and I explained my concerns about the hiring process. Apparently, the HR person I was dealing with was a temp whose contract ended the day before, and a new person took over. I wasn't told about this change or given the new contact's info. The new HR person tried to reschedule the second interview and the practical, but I wasn't interested anymore. The whole hiring process seemed disorganized, and based on other reviews, it looks like the company is still working things out.
