Applied via LinkedIn and messaged the recruiter. She got back to me two days later and set up a phone call interview with her and a supervisor. Then we had a few Skype interviews the next week with some more team supervisors and leads. They then decided to fly me out the next week for in-person interviews. I had to prepare a 45 minute long presentation of my work, followed by Q&A. Then I had lunch with the team I'd presented to and would be working with. After that, I had one on one interviews with various higher-ups and second interviews with the supervisors from before. The ones I'd spoken to before also gave me a tour of their offices and we discussed what we would do with me if I worked there. After returning, they requested 2 referrals from my current boss or thesis advisers, and then they gave me an offer within a few days. The whole process took about 3 weeks.

I've interviewed with many companies, big and small, and this was by far the worst. The interviewer was arrogant, the skills test seemed incorrect, and the whole process was unorganized. It made me feel bad about the company. A software manager mentioned they want to hire the best but find it hard. My feedback to them is that it might not always be the candidate's fault; it could be yours, which might explain why you took over four months to fill a position and still failed. Reading other employee reviews confirmed this sentiment and the 'not recommended if you have other options' advice.

I applied online and then got an email to schedule an interview with the hiring manager. He was nice and explained the issues very well. I talked about my solutions for them and it went really well. Then I was invited to another round with the CTO and engineering VP. That also went pretty well. I never heard back from them. I think because of restructuring they never hired anyone for this role.

The hiring manager will text you questions through the Wire app and you'll text back your answers. If you get the job offer, a check will be sent to you by email so you can buy office equipment yourself, instead of the company sending it.
