First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at IMGE.
Graphic Designer
I was emailed by them after applying on Linkedin. The first call was with HR, lasted about 30 minutes, and was very informal. They just asked basic questions, and it was a really enjoyable conversation. The second call was with HR and two vertical leads. It was also very informal, almost like a chat, and didn't feel like an interview at all.
- Can you tell me about your strengths and weaknesses, and what qualities make a good communicator?
Digital Marketing Specialist
I applied on the IMGE website and about 2 weeks later, I got an invite for a phone screening with the internship coordinator. They mostly asked about my experience and resume and some general info about the internship. After that, I was asked to submit a writing sample. Then after waiting a few weeks, I had a video interview with the internship coordinator and the account manager for my team. We talked more about the company and why I wanted to work there. A few days later, I got an email with an offer. My team worked with conservative clients, so they asked if I was okay with that. You should definitely say "Yes" to this or you probably won't get the position.
- What are your aspirations for your career?
- Would you be alright with working with our clients in politics?
Content Coordinator
Applied online and got a response within about a week. Since I'm not local, I had a phone interview with both a team member and an HR representative. The interview was quite pleasant, feeling more like a conversation than a typical interview. The next step involved a take-home assignment: a mock-up call to action email, which I submitted the following week due to a holiday. Unfortunately, I didn't hear back after that, which was disappointing. I wish they had communicated my application status more clearly, but overall it wasn't a bad experience.
- How has your background prepared you for this role?
Analyst
Got dinged hard for not knowing more about the company than what's public, even though I'm not from around here and don't know anyone in the industry. Got dismissed pretty fast even though I was friendly and interested.
- What would be your initial steps if you were to start in this role today?
