Marketing
The interview process was very conversational. It felt like they were going through a re-branding, and some people seemed more confident than others. They made me feel comfortable, but the process of hearing back was a bit drawn out. I was initially told I'd hear back in 3 days to a week, but it ended up being a month. While I understand that interviews can take time, it's good to be aware of this, especially if you're currently employed and need to schedule around work. The department I interviewed with seemed to have some friction with higher-ups, which gave off a vibe of being 'too corporate.' Ultimately, I was happy to find out (after that month) that I didn't get the position. The people were nice and easy to talk to, but the main downside was the waiting period. I wish them well.
- Can you elaborate on your previous work experiences as detailed on your resume?
Talent Acquisition
HR was really bad at communicating, and it was hard to get in touch with the interviewer. I also had to follow up a bunch to confirm the in-person interview. After the in-person, I found out the HR person was going on vacation. I sent a thank you email and followed up twice, but never heard back. I guess I wasn't a fit, but they could have at least let me know. I wouldn't want to work somewhere that doesn't respect people's time enough to just say no.
- Can you describe your experience with sourcing candidates?
On-Air Sales Coordinator
The recruiter who did my initial call was really rude and degrading. It made me not want the job, but I went through with it anyway to see what would happen. I was surprised by her attitude since I'm a qualified professional. It turned out the role was her assistant. So glad I didn't end up taking it. I had an in-person interview scheduled, but thankfully I got better offers from more pleasant companies with better pay.
- Can you tell me about your background?
Merchandise Support Planner
Applied online. Got a call for a phone interview. Then they called me for an in-person interview. Took a couple of weeks from the first contact to the in-person one. About learning more about the job, the interview was a letdown because the recruiter couldn't answer much about the actual job. Someone from the department should've been there for the second interview to talk about the day-to-day tasks.
- Where do you see yourself in five years?
