Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at iMatrix (California).
Inside Sales Representative
The interview process was really unclear and didn't match the job description at all. I honestly wasn't sure what the job entailed because it was different from what was advertised. It ended up being a different position than what the application stated.
- What makes you want to pursue a career in sales?
Inside Sales Representative
The interview process started out with an initial phone conversation that lasted about 25 minutes. During the call we discussed the responsibilities of this role, pay structure, and office culture. I was pushed through to the next round and invited to an orientation (group style interview) to help better understand the company and the sales role. We were all asked the same questions and went around the room providing responses. Although I wasn't used to this style of interviewing, I gained a lot of worthwhile information and insight to the company and the available position. The next round was a one on one interview.
- What personal challenges might you face in this job?
- What makes you want to work for iMatrix?
- What did you find valuable from another candidate's response during the group questioning?
Inside Sales Representative
The interview process was good. I learned a lot about the company, its culture, and the industry. I also got insights into management style, cold calling, and the sales cycle from the SVP of Sales and my potential team leader.
- Can you walk me through your resume?
