Standard process. It started with a phone screen by HR. Then I had a face-to-face with the hiring manager, followed by a meeting with the hiring manager's director. The hiring manager asked some good questions about my background, but I don't think the Director even looked at my resume. They mentioned a few times that the base salary was low and turnover was high. After the second interview, they said they wanted to move forward and would contact me in a few days. I sent thank you notes after each interview, but never heard back, which was unprofessional. It's okay though, because the office atmosphere seemed to lack energy and wouldn't have been a good fit for me. It seems like a solid company, and I wish them well.

Behavioral Case

You need to come prepared and do some research. If you don't, they won't take you seriously. They want to know how you plan to be successful and what your goals are. You should also know a bit about the industry and the competitors. Not knowing what they sell and to whom will definitely hurt your chances.

Had a first meeting with a field manager where they asked basic questions about the type of work and how much time on the phone the job required. They asked questions like why I want to be in sales and if I have the drive to cold call. Then I sat with an employee and listened to him make calls for a bit.
