First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at ImageSoft.
Software Engineer
First, we had to submit some questionnaires before the interview. Then, the actual interview happened over a phone call. They set up a time and called within a week based on availability.
- Can you tell me about sorting algorithms?
- What are linked lists and how do they work?
- Do you have any general questions for us?
Systems Engineer
HR reached out about a job opening, so I chatted with them. Then I had a phone interview, followed by a coding challenge and a live tech demo. They invited me to their HQ for an in-person interview, but halfway through they offered me a Solutions Architect position instead of the Systems Engineer one I applied for, which I accepted since it's what I do now. They also mentioned the job was on-site, not remote, which surprised me but I was open to moving for the right role. After the interview, I flew back home and got an offer about a week later. The offer was for a hybrid Systems Engineer/Solutions Architect role, but the pay was about $1,000 less than my current salary, and they only wanted to pay me entry-level developer wages for a dual role. I turned it down but they asked me to name my price. I gave them a number well below the average for that role, and they said they were going in a different direction. Honestly, it was probably for the best since they never reimbursed me for my hotel and rental car, leaving a bad taste in my mouth. The people were nice, but the process lacked transparency.
- We had a phone interview, a coding test, a live demonstration of my skills, and then an in-person interview.
Project Manager
It was a really nice and thoughtful interview process. Everyone was really kind and seemed genuinely interested in making sure it was a good fit for both me and the company. I had to do a skills test beforehand where they asked me how I'd handle some specific situations.
- Can you describe how you utilize OnBase in your current job?
Technical Documentation Specialist
I first talked with the manager and some other folks on the team to go over my background. I showed them my portfolio. They asked me questions based on my experience and the work I shared. We also talked about their vision and core values and how I would fit in.
- Can you share an instance where you embodied one of our core values?
- Give an example demonstrating one of the core values?
