I applied online and after about a month, the recruiter emailed me to set up a call. After that, I had a phone interview with the hiring manager. Then, about a week and a half later, the recruiter contacted me to schedule a panel interview online with six team members, which included a role-play scenario at the end. Although I didn't get an offer, it was a good experience. The process took two months, which felt long.

I applied online and a month later they said they'd call me for a phone interview. A few days after that, I got an email with the date and time for the call. The manager called me, not HR or a recruiter. We talked for a while about my experience and the role. She said they wanted to move forward and that HR would contact me for an in-person interview. Another email came with a date and time for the next call, and a few days later I spoke with the HR guy. He said his secretary would reach out to schedule an in-person interview. The next day, I got an email saying they were bringing me in and would contact me soon with a specific date and time. Then two weeks passed and I got an email saying I was no longer being considered. Very disappointing and confusing. So who knows? Big company. Maybe they promoted someone or hired a contractor? It is what it is. Tips: Don't get your hopes up with this company and they move slowly.

Behavioral Technical

I had an interview with Illumina for a Customer Care Specialist role, which seemed like a great fit for my background. It kicked off with a HireVue video interview, where I had three attempts to answer eight questions. Surprisingly, I advanced to a phone interview. The next step was a virtual panel interview with four people, including the department manager. I put a lot of effort into preparing for this. However, the panel interview started a bit late due to technical difficulties with their video setup. To make things worse, they had to cut the interview short because the last panel member joined late, leaving little time for the end. I didn't get to ask my prepared questions. One panelist didn't even have my resume and seemed to be added last minute, asking some very unusual questions. After sending two follow-up emails over a couple of weeks, I was informed they chose another candidate. The rejection email was surprisingly casual and had some spelling and grammar mistakes. I honestly expected a more professional experience from Illumina.
